The 4th doubt session
Hi readers! Hope you are doing well!
Here is the 4th doubt session , addressing the queries put forth by you all . The first is by Nidhi of 10th. U will surely be able to co relate yorself with it. So here it goes!
Mai Roz Padhti hu any 2 or 3 subjects: one Chapter each day but how to do quality learning. I don't think I do quality learning but I think that I do quantity learning.
As i told in my newspaper interview as well, i TRIED to do quality learning. If i studied for 4 hrs, i would make sure that i did the best in those 4 hours.
Now the question is, you hv made a schedule. You have completed it. But you are doubtful about your learning. Here are some tips for the same.
- Try to avoid social media distractions, the ways i had already suggested to you. Merely reading my blog would not bring any difference to you. Start following it as soon as possible.
- Try to Re-Do things. Read a paragraph. Try to make sense out of what it is trying to say. Comprehend it. And read it again. Then try to shut down your eyes and recall it without seeing. The next step is to check whether the thing you recalled was correct or not.
- Try to self-assess yourself by solving the back exercises of each chapter.
- Its good to make a schedule n follow it.. but its not useful if u just do the subject with a view to strike it off from your pending work. Its good only if you do the study very well and with the aim to learn something from it.
- Instead of this, its better that you do 1 chapter in a day but very nicely. So nicely that if i ask you any question out of it, you will be able to answer it.
- Quality learning has one more aspect, and that is to do the things which are important, very nicely and for the less important topics, just a brush up. An alternative to this can be to do each topic from your chapter. Mark the easy topics and devote less time to them during your revision or tests.
Second query :
Mera padhai mei dil nhi lag raha... Even jab mai mun bana k baithti hu tab bhi Pata nhi kya ho jata h ki bus Pata nhi kaise do ghante beet jate hai aur..... Result kuch nhi milta .. kya karoon.....π
So, yes! This is indeed a very genuine question in the present time.. But you should see the positivity in this as well... Although you are away from your friends, you are saved from travelling to school n tuition in such a scorching heat! You should try to make a time table and manage your time, instead of cursing the time. Utilise those idle school hours i
- Spend time on yourself. Don't study when you can't. Use that time for some other activitity.
- Make a light schedule in the first week. Take your time and be at ease. Gear up from the next week.
- When your mind starts diverting, slap yourself hard. Even i used to do this π π ππNothing to be embarrassed about. You have full control n ownership over yourself! Hit yourself hard, think about the students who will be studying at this time, contact someone who can inspire you, like your best frnd( exceptions r always there as i told u in the previous blogs. Beware of them plz) , your sibling, your parents.. tell them to scold you.. etc etc. And yes! Contact me as well π π i ll give you a full doze of motivation and you'll surely be able to study!
- Don't waste the time which you cannot study in, on phone n tv. Try to spend that time with nature, do something interesting, and explore yourself. This is the best time to do so.
- Keep a small notepad and jot down in it, the amount of time you wasted on useless activities and uncontrolled thinking.
- Learn from today and don't waste your tomorrow. If you wasted today, work double harder tomorrow n cope up with your schedule of today.
- Keep yourself motivated and just Try, try and try. You'll get what you want.
- Have courage and faith. This too shall pass, very soon.
Enough for the day.
Hw for today :

Mera ulta hai ππ...Nowadays I love studying...I don't know why I don't feel like leaving my books alone. Maybe because now I study subjects only which are of my interest (PCMB) but yes I love reading these books. π
ReplyDeleteThat's another fabulous blog Ananya! Keep going!
but I won't be agreeing with that "Re-do" point because "Read, recall, close the book or close your eyes, then recall", I think that is what is called "Ratta" or rote learning rather you should understand the concept and try to explain it to your mirror image or anyone else in your own words because Albert Einstein said, "If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough.". So I suggest to "understand" and gain knowledge rather than simply learning the subject for mere marks.
DeleteAbsolutely correct. But if u read my previous posts, u ll get to know that i have always discouraged cramming bcz i never did it myself, either..
DeleteBy the redo method i wanted to convey that if you are thinking that you are not able to do quality learning, then this is the best way to self assess yourself. If you think you have understood the concept, but actually you havent, then this is the best method to make sure u have got the concept.
Moreover, i hv myself experienced it many times that i just sometimes THINK THAT I KNOW THE CONCEPT, but when i come to self assess myself, i prove myself wrong.
Hope u got wht i meant ππ
